Hear the Corvid Chorus
Corvids communicate through a remarkable assortment of croaks, caws, whistles, rattles and even convincing imitations. A Common Raven may produce a deep, resonant croak, while the nearly identical American and Fish Crows are most reliably distinguished by their voices. Canada Jays communicate with soft whistles and husky calls, while the famously vocal Blue Jay can imitate hawks and other birds with surprising accuracy.
